Recent peaches and strawberries taste the air at farmer’s markets. Flowering timber perk up sleepy drives. And all over the place, patio furnishings will get dusting to usher in al fresco eating. These messengers of spring had been precisely what one Atlanta couple wished to bathe marriage ceremony friends with after they invited them to the luxe Barnsley Gardens Resort for a classically elegant Southern marriage ceremony.
“In April, the climate in Georgia is superb for a bride who’s drawn to the concept of a romantic backyard marriage ceremony,” says occasion designer Marilisa Schachinger, of Chancey Attraction Weddings.

Vows had been exchanged in a wide-open grassy space below a towering tree that, within the late afternoon, flooded the couple with sunshine. From the ceremony, friends strolled by way of a wide-open grassy space to the gardens, stopping alongside the best way to loosen up and revel in some garden video games. Schachinger and colleague Brie Owen positioned wrought-iron bistro tables all through the arched patio and first ground of the resort’s grand brick manor home.

The buffet featured Southern fare, and at one level the dancing was interrupted by the arrival of a real regional delight: fried hen sliders. Because the evening wound down, friends grabbed their favors (sugar cookies within the form of the couple’s house states) and sparklers and despatched the joyful couple on their manner.
